Today – Al Rubey presents the Park Meiter Scholarship

As We Speak – RI International Convention in Bangkok is in progress. Parts of it are streamed live, other parts will be available on video after the event. Pres Elect Jim Crocker is there.

Youth Exchange Student Announced – Pres Bob reports that the club will be hosting a female high school senior from Belgium this coming year. Orin Pierce is coordinating.

Newest Member – Susie Hansen received her red badge last week. She lives in Danville, works for the family business in San Francisco plus some other things. Please introduce yourself and sign her red badge sheet.

Friday May 18 – Celebrating 25 Years – Women in Rotary – at Round Hill Country Club.

Saturday May 19 – South District Assembly at Solano Coummunity College in Vallejo. Ideal for Board members, new members, and any Rotarian interested in growing their knowledge of Rotary activities. Every member received an EZ Link over the weekend for easy registration.

Monday May 21 – Annual Golf Tournament. Lakeside Course at Blackhawk Country Club. Tee sponsors can sign up with Tita Escalada. Give your checks for golfers to Vic G.

Wednesday May 30 – Six club meeting at Roundhill CC – Speaker from the Federal Reserve

July 4 Parade Float – Valerie is looking for volunteers to work on this year’s Rotary parade float, a joint activity with Interact and the other clubs. The theme this year is Small Town Big Heart

Gold Nugget – Last week it was $25. If no winner then it is $50 this week.
