Today – A big Danville Welcome to student athletes here today for Danville Rotary’s Femal Athlete Awards.
And a special Welcome to Lori Sullenberger who will be speaking.

Tomorrow – Food Bank Activity at Food Bank of Contra Costa/Solano – Pres Bob can give us the details.

Last Week – Six Club Meeting at Round Hill. Do we buy, sell, or hold? (Those in attendance will get the joke)

Week Before – Greater Danville Open Golf Tournament – Our best event in years based on golfer headcount, perfect weather, noteworthy buffet. Net income is at least $12,500, may be a bit more when the dust settles. Thanks to Steve Kay, Pres Bob and the rest of the organizing team for a great job.

Last Regular Meeting – Three great students from SRVHS received Scholastic or Community Service Scholarship Awards.

Next Week June 11 – Regular meeting at Faz, speaker should be confirmed today or tomorrow.

Also June 11 – Sandler Training Event in San Ramon for Polio Eradication. $199 gets you a full day of sales or sales management training, All trainers are donating their time. Net of proceeds after venue cost go to Polio Eradication. See Vic G if interested.

Week of June 17 – Camp Royal youth leadership camp in the Trinity Alps

June 23 – Saturday – Incoming and outgoing Board Retreat at the Community Center on Front Street

Week of June 24 – Camp Venture youth business camp at Cal Maritime Academy

June 25 – Pres Bob’s last podium visit as Club President – His meeting today.

Saturday June 30 – Demotion party for soon to be former Pres Bob Chace. Al Rubey has come out of retirement to write one last send-off skit that, as always, highlights the outstanding achievements of the outgoing leadership.

Sunday July 1 – Pres Jim assumes command of Danville Rotary. Laura Day from San Ramon Valley Rotary begins her year as District Governor

Monday July 2 – No one shows up for Pres Jim’s first meeting. (Take the day off, folks, July 4 is Wednesday)

Monday July 9 – First meeting of the new Rotary year at Faz.

Newest Member – Susie Hansen received her red badge last week. She lives in Danville, works for the family business in San Francisco plus some other things. Please introduce yourself and sign her red badge sheet.

Gold Nugget – At the last regular meeting, regular visitor Bill Eames pulled a blue marble. $100 this week.
