Today Feb 27 – Speaker Bill Clarkson, Mayor of San Ramon – State of the City of San Ramon
GREETER: Pete Kaldveer
This weekend – Pres Elect Jim goes to President Elect Training (PETS) in San Jose, about 2&1/2 days of drinking from the Rotary fire hose. If his head doesn’t explode he can tell us about it next Monday.
Last Regular Meeting – Dave Sandusky, President Mustang Soccer League. Monte Vista Graduate Julie Ann Wicks received an Honorary Paul Harris Fellowship from a family member and Past Governor in North Carolina.
Volunteers Needed – Every year, Danville Rotary donates and serves a barbecue lunch to the high school students who serve as the group leaders for the annual Youth to Youth Conference. Will you be able to help this year? It’s on Friday, March 2 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at St. Joan’s Church in San Ramon. We need 8 Rotarians to barbecue burgers and serve lunch to about 100 students. If you can make it, please contact Kathy (kathychiverton@gmail.com).
Fireside Results – Those in attendance voted to go ahead with the golf tournament this year – one day event, stress free, income secondary to having a good time. Pres Bob can tell us about new fundraisers being discussed.
Saturday March 24 – Valley Teen Idol Final Competition – 1 to 4 pm – Restaurant food tables from 1 to 2 followed by the event, all proceeds benefit SRVUSD programs. Let’s reciprocate the great support by SRV Rotary to our Crab Feed. Get tickets through Vic G. Should be a fun afternoon.
