Sathi Das is Danville Rotary’s PACE student at the Pyali India girl’s school. Sathi, currently a 1st grader, was enrolled in Kindergarten. She is six. She is a happy and smart kid, very good in studies and attends school regularly. Sathi ranked third in her grade in the last annual assessment. She is fond of drawing and coloring and is popular amongst her friends. She participates enthusiastically in school activities and cultural programs.
Her parents show a lot of involvement toward their daughter’s education. Being only functionally literate, they are keen to give their daughter a tool for a bright future through proper schooling. Her father earns a meager living by making and selling cardboard boxes while her mother remains at home to take care of Sathi and her newborn son. They live in a humble house near the school
