Dave the Rave
Today – A big Danville WELCOME to District Governor Dave (Dave the Rave) Dacus. The Board will meet with DG Dave at 10:30, all members are invited to sit in on the Board Meeting.
Last Week –April Bell talked about Preserving your personal history. The video refused to cooperate. Those interested in seeing her Cliff Dochterman video will find it on her portfolio page.
Pres Bob broke the ice on 2011 recognitions by telling us a brace-ing story for which he coughed up $40.
Dante Tosetti, who is largely absent due to his special Federal Reserve assignment, stopped in to visit with us. He will definitely be back when his project winds down.
Pres Bob distributed special pins to major committee chairs.

2011 Dues – Club dues this year are $225 plus the annual Foundation gift. Please see Treasurer Barb if you need a copy of your statement.
Backpack Project – Thanks to Steve Grote for leading, and to all who participated in the backback stuffing activity at Steve’s home last week. As mentioned last week, the club matched the $1400 donated by members for a total of $2,800.
Leadership San Ramon Valley – The club’s two participants this year are Tita Escalada and David Roby.
Next Monday August 8 – Beri Kasper from Concord Diablo Rotary will talk to us about Camp Venture and our Camp Royal students will be on hand to describe their experience.
Board meetings are third Thursdays this year. Next meeting August 18.
District Conference is October 7 & 8 in Monterey.
