Last Meeting  – Walt Schafer from Chico Rotary Club gave us an detailed update on about $250,000 of Rotary grant work in Tanzania. Danville is one of the participating clubs.

Anniversary Party – And what a party it was! Barbara Jewell was honored as this year’s Honorary Paul Harris Fellow. Al Rubey was in top form receiving a Lifetime Service Award. We were pleased and honored to see our long time friend and Charter Member Dr Tom Ohlson, to whom the club also presented a Lifetime Service Award. Special thanks to Jeff Behring for event planning and venue.

Ten Club RotaCare Pittsburg Free Medical Clinic at St. Vincent de Paul officially received its license to operate from the State of California Thursday 12/9. They need volunteer Doctors, Nurses, and volunteers to register patients, to enter medical information into the electronic medical records, to assist in the Clinic, and bilingual translators, especially Spanish.
