February is World Understanding Month

Today Feb 13 –  Dave Sandusky, President Mustang Soccer League. Special guest Julie Ann Wicks is visiting today to receive a very special Rotary award.

Fireside on Evening of Feb 16 – Board Meeting at 5 pm, Fireside starts at 6 – Diablo West Club House as in the past.

Danville Rotary now 501(c)3 – Pres Bob reports there are a few more organizational hurdles, but we have our tax exempt number and can accept donations to the new Foundation.

Next Week Feb 20 – No Meeting Presidents Day

Next Regular Meeting Feb 27 – Speaker Bill Clarkson, Mayor of San Ramon – State of the City of San Ramon

Last Week – Melaine Sadek, Executive Director, Valley Humane Society. Special Guest Bob Cuenin, a charter member of Danville Rotary, visited with us, here with current member Rob Cuenin. Larry Knapp, a member of Sacramento Metropolitan and resident of Danvile, stopped in for a visit.  Both special guests are welcome back anytime.

Danville Rotary’s Newest Member – Jennifer Coons lives in Danville with spouse Brad and two young children. She is Executive Director at Barrington Court. Please introduce yourself to Jennifer if you have not already done so.

Crab Feed a Big Success – Thanks to everyone for all the time and energy that went into making everything happen, with special thanks to Mike McHugh and Pres Bob for leading. About another week to have a solid number, but definitely more than $30K

Gold Nugget – Pot wiped out last week, Edna couldn’t find the winner. Today the pot is $50.
